Dutch Lily Days 2024
The Dutch Lily Days will be hosted from Tuesday 4 June, until Friday 7 June 2024. Van Zanten Flowerbulbs – part of Royal Van Zanten – will once again open the doors of its showroom greenhouses for this twelfth edition of the annual event in June. We are delighted to welcome visitors from all over the world, to show our current varieties, as well as new ones.
What can you expect at Van Zanten Flowerbulbs?
OT hybride
This year we are paying extra attention to our OT hybrid lilies.
- New Way and White Step
These two new white OTs have sturdy stems and even the small bulb sizes have a high number of buds. Both cultivars are suitable for year-round flower production.
In 2023, the exclusive cultivation rights were sold to a group of five bulb growers. This year they are harvesting the first scale bulbs. - Pure Passion
This promising red OT is characterized by its red colour and colour fastness. The Far East has responded very enthusiastically to the quality and colour of this lily, so the first bulbs have already been reserved.
Grower Hulsebosch Bloembollen BV from Julianadorp will grow this variety exclusively. - Master
The Master is already a household name in Lily Land. The cultivation rights of this variety have been in the hands of six growers since 2022. This OT is characterized by the beautiful pink colour and the amount of flowers in the small bulb size.
Double Orientals
The entire Lucky Lilies line can also be seen in the showroom greenhouse, with a new addition to the range this year; the White Lucky Ice. The 2 pot varieties have also been planted again, the Foxy Star and the Foxy Spring.
In addition to the lilies above, there are many more new Orientals, LA and OT hybrids to admire.
Networking event
Of course, the Dutch Lily Days are all about seeing the lilies. However, these days are also the perfect time to discuss the latest developments in lily bulb cultivation and to meet important players within the sector.
