Reliable Santini, available all year round
A Santini you can always rely on, in appearance, weight and vase life. That is what LS Santini has stood for over decades. From its nursery in Bleiswijk, this family-owned business harvests fresh Santini every day, delivering consistent quality tailored to the needs of florists and the flower trade. With the varieties Sun Up and Sira, LS Santini shows how thoughtful variety selection, craftsmanship and nature-inclusive cultivation come together in a reliable year-round assortment.

Sun Up – a fresh classic with a spring feel
Sun Up is a well-established name in the market. LS Santini was among the first growers of this variety and has been producing it successfully for many years. The flower stands out for its fresh appearance: white petals surrounding a bright yellow heart. With its daisy-like look, Sun Up performs exceptionally well in mixed bouquets and combines effortlessly with other flowers.
Traditionally, Sun Up sees a clear sales peak in spring, while demand remains stable throughout the rest of the year. According to Juliska, its strength lies in versatility:
“It’s a flower that catches the eye without being dominant. Playful, fresh, and consistently uniform in quality.”
Sira – Santini pompon with a full uniform look
While Sun Up has an open, fresh look, Sira is compact and fully shaped. This white pompon has been part of the assortment for around three years and is now fully embedded in the year-round production.
Where white pompons used to be typical peak products around holidays, the market has become more balanced. Sira shows a reliable, steady demand throughout the year. Pompons are currently performing strongly across various market segments. LS Santini sees opportunities here, but remains selective: only varieties that truly fit their quality standards and cultivation vision are added.
“We only choose varieties where all key elements come together – appearance, solid cultivation characteristics and stability.”

Focus on high quality
The LS Santini assortment is fully structured around year-round production. The focus is on strong genetics, continuity and a consistently high quality level. Sun Up and Sira fit seamlessly within this strategy: proven varieties that offer reliability for florists and the flower trade alike.
A family business with a clear vision
LS Santini is very much a family business. Juliska runs the company together with her father Wilco and her brothers Leon and Twan. Each has their own area of expertise – from cultivation and planning to sales, marketing and soil improvement. This close collaboration has formed the foundation of the business for more than 35 years.

Future-proof cultivation starts with the soil
Sustainability plays an increasingly important role at LS Santini. As early as 2016, the company decided to significantly reduce the use of chemical crop protection and fundamentally change its cultivation approach. Since then, LS Santini has been working according to nature-inclusive and regenerative principles. By focusing on soil life and plant resilience, the use of chemicals is kept to a minimum.
“Strong flowers start with a healthy foundation. When plants are naturally resilient, far fewer external interventions are required.”
With Sun Up and Sira, LS Santini shows how thoughtful variety selection, combined with craftsmanship and a clear vision on future-proof cultivation, results in a stable and distinctive Santini assortment – reliable all year round for florists and the flower trade. LS Santini is a partner who thinks along, looks ahead and delivers what the market needs – today and tomorrow.
