The tissue culture laboratory of Van Zanten Breeding is looking for a (junior)
SPECIALIST LABORATORY
with ambition and a sense of responsibility
Your responsibilities
Optimizing existing techniques and researching new techniques in the field of (tissue culture) breeding, in vitro initiation and production/cultivation.
You coordinate the in vitro initiation, build up of in vitro stock material and true to type tests. in various crops. You develop protocols for our laboratories at home and abroad.
You consult on the work with product managers, breeders and fellow specialists.
You lead (research) projects. You give instructions and explanations to the employees with whom you work. You handle information and data confidentially.
The Laboratory Specialist reports directly to the Manager Laboratory.
You will give functional directions to employees in the laboratory.
This is a full-time position, the work is performed in our laboratory in Rijsenhout (NH).

We are looking for a colleague who shares our passion for flowers and plants.
You have a proactive, critical attitude, are accurate and can work independently.
You have good communication skills and easily connect with others.
You possess a high degree of flexibility.
We are looking for candidates who:
– have completed a relevant education at bachelor level
– have at least 3 years of work experience
– have knowledge of and experience with tissue culture production
– have a good command of both Dutch and English
