We have room for talented people who love flowers and plants. Do you want to work for an international company? We offer a great deal of possibilities. We also offer work-experience both at home and abroad. We would love to receive your open application.

Van Zanten Plants

Van Zanten Plants breeds, selects and produces starting material for professional growers of ornamental plants worldwide. The company focuses on cut flowers (Alstroemeria, Freesia, Limonium, Statice and Hypericum), supplemented with a few pot plants (Alstroemeria Princess Lilies®, Anigozanthos Garden Jewel®, pot Freesia). Choosing a limited number of plants was a deliberate choice. Our aim is to be in the top two. Through its representatives and agents, Van Zanten Plants supplies worldwide support with regard to technical production. Thus, we assist our customers in achieving cost-effective production.

Innovative

Improvement of the assortment through breeding is the cornerstone of the company and therefore receives our full attention. A good team, good equipment and support by means of various different laboratory techniques enable us to constantly improve the level of our varieties. Our innovative skills - but also the care of our environment - is reflected in our ‘green label greenhouse'. We are the first company in the Netherlands to be certified with a ‘green label'. The use of environmentally damaging materials is restricted as much as possible and, as a result, Van Zanten Plants is also MPS qualified.

Plant material

Breeding and propagation take place in our modern nursery and the laboratory Rijsenhout (Netherlands). New varieties are delivered to the laboratory in Rijsenhout and built up into a clean basic batch. This is the basis for large-scale propagation, which we carry out ourselves in our laboratory in South Africa or in collaboration with other partners.
